Our partnership includes the co-delivery of an in-depth Innovation Workshop in Wellington and in Auckland, currently delayed due to COVID, and likely to be scheduled for end May or beginning June, or as soon as it is safe to do so in-person.

Event background:
Construction is the world’s largest ecosystem, consisting of 13% of global GDP. In NZ, it is the 5th largest sector contributing to 7% of GDP, with Kāinga Ora the country’s largest client of residential building services. Construction is being re-shaped by the global pandemic, the housing crisis and climate change. Interviews with 400 construction businesses globally showed that while 75% of them agree that the sector is being majorly disrupted, only 9% feel confident about creating opportunities from that disruption.
Callaghan Innovation supports businesses to identify these key opportunities through insights, and to define their innovation journey so they can deliver greater economic, environmental and social value.
