Founded in Tauranga, New Zealand in 2014, servicing the length of the country, with physical offices in both the Bay of Plenty and Auckland, WNT Ventures has emerged as a dedicated deep tech investor. Our backing from prominent entrepreneurs, angel groups, and Bay of Plenty institutions further solidified our position in the ecosystem. Recognising our commitment to excellence, Callaghan Innovation selected WNT as one of three founding Technology Incubator partners in 2014. In 2020, WNT were the sole founding partner to secure a contract renewal through to 2027, reaffirming our status as a trusted and reliable partner.

This could be by providing the $35,000 ‘pre-incubation’ grant supplied by Callaghan Innovation to get a company ready for a full investment. If a company is investment ready WNT can potentially invest NZ$1m of capital provided by the current WNT Fund, the WNT group of investors and, if applicable undiluted capital, through the Callaghan Innovation Technology Incubator Programme Repayable Loan.
