Southland's business support champion
I work as a Growth Advisor/Navigator in Southland where I facilitate access to the Callaghan Innovation suite of business support services. During my work, I meet so many different people and get to share a small slice of their passion after which I get to help them make a better business.
Working alongside Steve Canny, Group Manager of Strategic Projects Southland, has been an inspiration. The amount of passion and drive he brings to our team and the huge changes and opportunities he has brought to Southland are visible to local businesses.
One project I am proud of was delivering the COVID Tourism package into Te Anau. It was an incredible privilege to be able to support local business people during the toughest of times.
I am an accountant by training and worked first in public practice and later as the Financial Controller for Invercargill City Council. You may not know that some accountants are really bad at maths....well that may not be 100% true.... but I know I am!
