Blending Science, Communication and Innovation
I work in the R&D tax incentive team which combines my passions in science, communication and innovation to help customers get the most of RDTI. Our great team are all helping NZ companies be more innovative, and in turn helping grow the NZ innovation ecosystem. Day to day I can see how this methodology underpins my work and also delivers returns to all the stakeholders.
After graduating with a Bachelors degree in biotechnology and a PhD in molecular biology, I worked in industry, the tertiary sector and government, as well as having led my own startup in the past. This gives me the diverse background and ability to relate to different types of customer businesses. I have been passionate about innovation since my University of Auckland years when I was a member of the Chiasma team from 2007 to 2011.
My customer work means I get to contribute to the success of New Zealand businesses and the development of the New Zealand innovation ecosystem.
