Expertly guiding new products to market in Central NZ
I work as a Navigator based in central New Zealand working with startups and innovators who are taking their products to market. I meet passionate and innovative people daily in my job and they are my motivator. Many of them teach me something new each day.
Within my region is OBO, the world-leading supplier of goalkeeping gear for field hockey. They have 70 to 80% of the global market, exporting products from Palmerston North to the world. Simon Barnett is their Managing Director and this firm reminds me that global leading innovation can take place anywhere.
Despite celebrating our successes, I also keep in mind that not every new product has longevity. In the food and beverage sector, around 2 in 10 new products last longer than 2 years before being withdrawn from sale.
